Born in 1938, Safad – Palestine.
Married and father of two sons and two daughters.

1971- Member of the Revolutionary Council.
1971-1989 Chairman: Fateh National Congress.
1989-2016 Member of the Central Committee.
2009 Head of the Political Committee of the general Congress of Fateh, and
editor of its Political Program.

2005-2006 Deputy Prime Minister, and Acting Prime Minister, and Minister of

Center in Beirut and Chairman Arafat’s political advisor. Later on
became his chief foreign relations advisor.

2005- Chairman of the Board of Trustees: Al-Azhar University, Gaza.
1975–1992 Founder and President of Team International: a professional
management training and consulting organization, and the Arab Center
for Administrative Development in Beirut and Cairo, which trained
thousands of Arab managers, and young men and women.
1975-1992 Founder and Chairman: Dar El Fata Al Arabi, the Arab World’s only
publishing house for children.
1969-1975 Assistant Professor, then Dean of the Business School and Senator,
American University of Beirut.
1969-1976 Assistant Professor: National Institute of Management Development,
and Visiting Professor: University of Alexandria and American
University of Cairo.
